This lecture will briefly introduce the course, invited guest lecturers, with special notes for credited graduate students. We will provide a broad overview of how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming computational biology and bioinformatics, enabling new ways to analyze and interpret biological and medical data. Key AI-driven tools such as AlphaFold, AlphaGenome, and Genformer will be highlighted, along with examples from our own research projects. The session aims to inspire students to explore the opportunities and challenges of this new era of digital biology and to appreciate the role of computational approaches in modern life sciences.
